The soap studio doesn't run itself — meet the team that makes it all happen.
Farmer's Body has grown so much over the years, and that doesn't happen without people. A lot of them. Behind every batch of lip balm, every custom label order, every foaming hand soap that ships out the door — there's a small, dedicated team that shows up every day and makes it happen.
We get asked about the team pretty often, so we thought it was time for a proper re-introduction. Here's who's behind the scenes at the Farmer's Body soap studio.
Meggan Wehmeyer · Founder & Owner
Farmer's Body started with Meggan — a practicing periodontist, mom of three, and the person still most likely to be found at the studio making product when she's not at her dental office.
Meggan founded Farmer's Body out of a love for clean ingredients and thoughtful design, and a belief that small, intentional gestures can make a real difference — whether in a dental practice or in someone's daily routine. She's the driving force behind every formula, every decision, and every product that carries the Farmer's Body name.
When she’s not at the studio or seeing patients at a local non-profit dental office, she’s enjoying this season with her three kids — ages 18, 14, and 12. Driving them places, taking them on trips to see the world, and squeezing in a new formula test whenever she can.
Cassie · Production Manager
Cassie is the heartbeat of the Farmer's Body studio. As Production Manager, she oversees everything that happens in the space — making products, fulfilling orders, managing shipping, and keeping the day-to-day running smoothly. If a product is in your hands, Cassie had something to do with it.
Cassie came to Farmer's Body through the dental office — she was Meggan's main dental assistant — and the transition to the studio happened at exactly the right time.
"I met Meggan through the dental office. I was her main dental assistant, and when I hit my 2nd trimester in pregnancy, I decided I really wanted a new job opportunity where I could make being a first-time mom my number one priority. Meggan was more than happy to give me that opportunity."
As a mom of three herself, Meggan understood exactly what Cassie was looking for — and knew she'd bring that same care and attention to the studio that she'd given her patients.
And her favorite Farmer's Body product?
"My favorite product would have to be the vegan lip balm in the plum scent. Plum is my favorite scent for all the products."
Rebecka · Production Assistant
Rebecka works alongside Cassie at the studio, helping fulfill and ship orders and stepping in wherever the day calls for it. She’s an essential part of keeping production moving — especially as the business has grown and the orders have kept coming.
Rebecka came to us through Katelyn — their younger kids go to school together. It’s that kind of team. People find their way here through people they already trust.
In a small studio, everyone wears a few hats. Rebecka wears several, and she wears them well.
Katelyn · Studio Assistant
Katelyn does it all — and she means it. She came on as a studio assistant, helping keep the space clean, organized, and production-ready. Over time, her role has grown to include managing the custom label clients who find their way to Farmer’s Body through Mari’s List — an orthodontist networking community that has become a meaningful source of connection for the brand.
If you found us through Mari’s List, Katelyn is likely the person who welcomed you.
Her role in the studio is the kind of thing that's hard to describe until it isn't there. She keeps everything running — dishes, inventory, lip trays, packaging stock, ingredient organization, and whatever else the day brings.
"My job is to help with the general upkeep of the studio in order to keep the studio production ready. I help with tasks such as dishes, cleaning, checking inventory, keeping lip trays loaded, replenishing product packaging, putting ingredient orders away, organization of the studio, and any other odd jobs as they arise."
Katelyn came into Meggan's orbit the way a lot of people do — through the dental world, though the connection goes back even further.
"I met Meggan a few years ago when our sons attended pre-school together and quickly became friends. Meggan was also the periodontist who performed the tongue tie release surgery on our son. Flash forward a couple years, and we ran into each other again at my children's pediatric dentist office. Meggan was filling in for their dentist that morning. I knew of Farmer's Body and asked her if she had any work for a stay-at-home mother of four who couldn't work normal hours. She said yes. We met a few weeks later and I began working for Farmer's Body. I am grateful for the opportunity — as well as a space where I can actually hear myself think."
Four kids will do that. We're glad she found her quiet space here.
Her favorite Farmer's Body product?
"Foaming hand soaps. With four kids, I wash my hands a lot."
Lindsey · Director of Marketing
Lindsey is Farmer’s Body’s Director of Marketing — and the role has grown right alongside the brand. She oversees all of the custom label clients, manages the brand’s written voice across every channel, and is behind the email newsletters, blog posts, social content, and product copy that goes out under the Farmer’s Body name. If you’ve ever read something from us and thought it sounded like a real person talking — that’s Lindsey.
The way she joined the team is one of our favorite stories.
"Meggan and I have known each other and been good friends since college at the University of North Carolina — we were roomies. I was a stay-at-home mom and former English teacher, and I had recently started looking into part-time copywriting work. I asked Meggan if she needed any help with her newsletter. I was actually just kind of giving her a hard time because I had noticed a few writing mistakes here and there. But then she offered me the job. I was both shocked and excited, and happily accepted."
It takes a certain kind of friendship to turn a gentle critique into a job offer. And a certain kind of person to take that job and run with it the way Lindsey has.
Her favorite product?
"Honestly, I'm happy to be a guinea pig for any of the products because they're all so great. The lip balm is probably my favorite right now. I keep one in my stroller so I can apply during walks with my kids. I highly recommend giving them a try if you haven't already."
A small team. A lot of heart.
Farmer's Body is still a small operation, and that's something we're proud of. Every product is made by hand, in small batches, by people who care about what they're making. And we show up every day because we genuinely believe in what we're building.
Thank you for being part of it.
