Have you heard the story of how Farmer's Body began? It starts with a dream and a couple of college guys living in my basement.
I know that sounds kind of wacky, but at the time, my husband was a professor at Colby Sawyer College in New Hampshire, and he took in three college students as interns for the summer.
And offered to let them live in my basement for 3 months and for me to feed them.
Without asking me.
Oh boy. Anyone else's husband do stuff like this?
One student even had a tent set up down there for a while.
It turned out to be one of the best creative energy summers for our whole family! While the students were waiting for a real-estate deal to close, they lit the spark that began Farmer's Body as a creative business by helping me to get the business structure established. They were just the fire I needed to take myself from making bath and body products for my friends and family to selling for all to enjoy.
We've come a long way and are already looking at the next phase for Farmer's Body- a new studio space that we are building from an old barn.
We can't wait!!
We'll continue to keep you in the loop with photos and regular updates on our construction and design process, Fixer Upper style.
